Motability

Motability is a national charity, set up on the initiative of the Government in 1977, to assist disabled people with their mobility needs. They direct and oversee the Motability Scheme which enables disabled people to obtain a car, powered wheelchair or scooter simply by using their government-funded mobility allowances.

Wheelchair access vehicles

WAV stands for Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle - these are a range of vehicles specifically converted to allow easy access for the wheelchair passenger.

We're happy to come to you to discuss your needs in your own home. Not only does it make it easy for you, but it also helps us to make sure that we're offering you the right solution for your needs, that there's enough space in the vehicle for you, your family and friends plus any additional equipment you may need to carry.

Our free, no obligation demonstration and test drives for Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle are available anywhere on mainland England, Scotland and Wales. We also offer free adaptation demonstrations in Norfolk and North Suffolk.

Whatever your location, we’ll make sure we find a suitable solution for your needs and offer advice Grants that may be available to help you.
